In-Person & Online Lessons
Academy of Sound returned to in-person lessons for most instruments beginning January 24, 2022. We continue to offer online options, and some teachers are available online-only. See your Portal account for details.
The health and safety of our teachers, students, and staff is our top priority. If you or anyone in your household is not feeling well, please take an online lesson in place of your in-person lesson, at the same day and time. You may also use the online option for any other reason at any time (inclement weather, change in plans of the driver, etc.). Please contact us at your earliest convenience to let us know you'll be using this option, with at least 2 hours notice so we can ensure the teacher is prepared for the online lesson.
Teachers will also switch to an online lesson if they or anyone in their household is not feeling well. We will notify you by email so you can plan accordingly.
If a student arrives and appears ill, they will be sent out and the lesson forfeited.
Academy of Sound will follow the current order published at https://publichealthmdc.com/coronavirus/forward-dane/current-order at all times, and will require compliance by all who enter the building.
Our waiting room is closed to the public. Students may enter the building up to 5 minutes before the start time of their lesson, and will exit the building at their lesson's end. Please make pick up and drop off arrangements accordingly, and take into account any weather when considering whether your child will be comfortable waiting outdoors.

COVID-19 NOTE: We know everyone is anxious to return to a sense of normalcy. It's clear that one of the best ways to ensure that we can do this sooner, is to continue social distancing as much as possible now. We will limit the number of students and teachers in our facility; clean between each lesson; require masks as appropriate; offer online lessons by request or for health reasons; and continue to monitor and implement public health recommendations. We will keep you updated about how they affect our operations.
