Red Johnson
Piano Teacher
(Master)
Red began playing piano and studying music theory at 4 years old. For the following years, she performed in regular recitals through the Minnesota Music Teachers Association and the Minneapolis Music Teachers Federation, winning awards annually from both organizations. Red received a BA in music from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa, with focuses on piano, theory, and composition. She is also a vocalist who has participated in choirs and musicals for nearly as long as she's played piano. Red's teaching style was influenced by her work with the Minneapolis Children's Theatre Company, where she helped elementary school students analyze stories and learn to read critically. Outside of performing arts, Red spends her time designing board games and laughing at her cats' antics.
