SEAN PANZER - ASSOCIATE PIANO TEACHER
Join us in welcoming longtime Academy of Sound student, Sean Panzer! Mr. Sean has joined our faculty as an Associate Piano Teacher. His beginner piano teaching work will begin this summer. You'll also see Sean behind the front desk as a receptionist. He has been studying piano since 2012, primarily with Ms. Erin Chisman until 2020, and currently with Mr. Chris Telfer. Sean is creative and knowledgeable in music and academics. He even created his own Disney songs mash-up which he performed for our 2023 Spring Recitals. He also studies percussion and cello in the Oregon School District.

ADDISON SWAN, ASSOCIATE CELLO TEACHER
Miss Addie will be joining Academy of Sound this summer to teach cello! Addie began studying cello at the age of eight and currently studies with Professor Whitcomb at UW-Whitewater. She is a dedicated musician having played with the Wisconsin Youth Symphony Orchestra for seven years, and currently in the WYSO Chamber Program.
Addie also plays bassoon and euphonium in the Oregon High School Bands as well as in the OHS pit orchestra. In addition, she has studied piano for five years. In her free time, Addie dances at the Brodhead Dance Academy, is a member of leadership in three clubs at OHS and is a general member of two others, and volunteers at a variety of places. After high school, Addie plans to attend college to dual major in cello performance and performing arts management.

Ally Kurihara Transitions From Co-Director Position to Focus on Teaching and Tuning
As Ms. Ally's piano tech and tuning business continues to grow and thrive, you'll notice she'll no longer be present behind the desk and in studio communications. Ms. Ally's role here will transition to focus on her private lesson space, while she increases her time on her tuning business.
Ms. Ally has made such an incredible impact on the students and staff around her while she led us as one of the co-directors these past two years. Ms. Ally remains dedicated to mparting her musical expertise as she continues to teach piano and saxophone lessons. We had a great time at our 20th Annual Spring Recitals on May 21, 2023. The students all performed exceptionally well, and we are so proud! We're excited for what the next 20 years will bring.
