Recitals, Summer lessons, AOS News- Oh my!

We can't believe it- APRIL is here (and nearly half over!) With Easter on the horizon, the end of school just two months away, and the recital in a month, there's a lot going on! This month's blog (the first through our new Wix page!) offers some details on what's coming up! Enjoy!

Summer Registration begins April 16th!:

Our registration for current AOS families begins on April 16th. We're excited to welcome a few new teachers to our staff for the summer! There is a summer lessons preview currently on our website. If you aren't sure what might be the best fit for you this summer, take time to ask your teacher about in this week's lesson!

If you are a NEW family to AOS, registration will be open on April 23rd.

REMINDER: We are CLOSED April 19th and 22nd

In observance of the Easter holiday, we will be closed Friday, April 19th and Monday, April 22nd. Please update your calendars accordingly.

Recital Time!:

Our recitals will take place at Oregon High School on Sunday, May 19th at 1 and 3pm. More details on the recital are available on our calendar!

Summer Operetta!:

We're hoping to offer Mayron Cole's "Cinderella" as our summer operetta this year! It's a fun show with roles for every one! To make sure we can include as many interested students as possible, we've created a poll for possible scheduling! Please click here to fill out your preference!

May Dates to Remember:

In addition to the May 19th recital, there are a couple of other dates to keep in mind!

May 20-24th: Spring Conference lessons. These are especially important to attend as they will provide a wrap up of the year. If your teacher is moving onto another position or not teaching over the summer months, part of the conference will also be offering some next steps.

May 27th: We are CLOSED in honor of Memorial Day

May 28th-30th: Our teachers will be offering makeup group classes and lessons. Please stay tuned for more details on those classes in the next several weeks.

March Level Up Shout-Out!:

We had a shorter month of lessons due to our Spring Break but our students kept busy regardless! Please join us in giving a shout-out to Wesley Young, who moved up to Level 3 in beginner guitar! Way to go, Wesley!

JOB POSTING: Teacher Vacancies!

We're excited that our school is GROWING but that means we are seeking more teachers to fill needs at the school. We are currently seeking teachers and substitutes for all areas but are looking to fill vacancies in piano, guitar, drum set, and strings immediately. If you or someone you know is looking to teach privately (or add more students to your teaching schedule,) check out our website for more details!

That's all for this month! Please stay tuned for more details on makeup classes/lessons and summer lesson scheduling!
